Today’s the day that some of the biggest names in music head to the desert for the most famous music festival in the world, Coachella. Each year people from all over the world flock to Palm Springs for this three-day extravaganza. Here’s what you can expect from the 2018 festival!
After canceling her performance at last year’s Coachella because of her pregnancy, Beyonce will be lighting up the stage come Saturday night. The Weeknd and Eminem are the event’s other headliners. Coachella is known for its surprise performances, and there’s some speculation that these three acts will be bringing some special guests to be a part of their sets. Rumors have been flying that Beyonce could be surprising the crowd with Jay-Z or Kendrick Lamar. Daft Punk or Drake might be crashing The Weeknd’s set, while Rihanna or Ed Sheeran may join Eminem. This year’s smaller acts will be bringing the desert heat as well, as Cardi B, SZA, and St. Vincent are among the festival’s long list of revered performers.
Over the years, Coachella has amped up the grounds’ food selections. In 2018, the festival is offering the food from the country’s cult-favorite restaurants! Originally from New York, Milk Bar and Shake Shack will both be setting up shop. L.A. favorites Juice Crafters, Sweetfin Poke, and Trejo’s Tacos will also be taking their talents to the desert. These are just a handful of the delicious hot eats and cool treats that are taking over the festival this weekend!
With desert temps exceeding 90 degrees this weekend, you’re going to want to hit up some parties! Revolve will be holding its annual Revolve Festival, which will include performances by A$AP Rocky and Snoop Dogg. American Express will be hosting a “desert oasis” for cardholders, which will include refreshments and live music. Lucky Brand will be hosting a Desert Jam pool party, for the second year in a row! Between the festival, food, and pool parties, Coachella 2018 has more to offer than you could possibly fit into one weekend. Maybe that means you should head back to the desert for Weekend 2!
